How a last-minute delivery kept our project on schedule

Challenge:

After inspecting our client’s hot water tank, we determined that the tank had failed and needed replacing. The client expressed that this was an urgent issue and imperative that the replacement be completed as quickly as possible. Taking into consideration the client’s budget request, we needed this replacement to be done in a cost effective as well as timely manner. 

Solution:

Instead of leaving the site for a supply run, the plumber placed an order of the necessary materials with their usual supplier and used the pkup app to arrange an immediate pickup and delivery of the materials needed for the replacement. This enabled the contractor to stay on site and continue their work, disassembling the previously failed hot water tank without interruption.

By the time the removal of the failed tank was complete, pkup had already arrived with the brand new replacement tank and materials. To further streamline the operation, the plumber used the pkup app to place another order to transport the failed tank directly to a recycling depot. Using the pkup app created a seamless and highly efficient process, saving the plumber and the client valuable time.
